Good tools are prerequisite to the successful execution of a job.
     
Eye Loupe

2 - 3X : for Disassembly and Assembly

4 - 5X : Balance Spring adjustment

Note: Higher magnification = closer the focusing distance. In other words, the distance between the eye loupe and the watch is very short. e.g. 10X loupe comes in focus at 1 inch.

     
Sidebar Remover
Removing spring bars from watch cases with blind holes.
     
Bracelet Pin Remover

Remove the bracelet pin with ease and without scratch.

     
Bracelet Pin Remover Set -- use with hammer

Lower cost but may damage the bracelet easily

Hold the punch tight and at the correct place before hammering at it.

One side is rubber (white)
     
Watch Holder

This type can hold the case or the movement.

Do not hold the watch or the movement too tight, too much force may damage the watch.

Place a cloth between the case and the holder is a great idea.

     
Watch Movement Holder    

This type can hold the movement only.

Do not hold the movement too tight, too much force may damage the movement.

     
Case Knife

Open the "clip on" case back.

Note: Put the watch on the watch holder before opening the case back.

     
Case Opener

Open the "screw on" case back.

Note: Put the watch on the watch holder before opening the case back.

     
Screw Driver

Open the case back which is locked up by screws.

Disassembly and Assembly the movement.

Note: Only use the correct size screw driver !
The size of the screw driver is smaller than the screw will damage the screw.
The size of the screw driver is bigger than the screw will scratch the parts.

     
Box

Store the different parts separately.

     
Tweezer

The most important thing for choosing tweezers is Antimagnetic. However, most professionals do not like using the Antimagnetic tweezers because of the worse feeling of control.

     
Demagnetiser

Remove the magnetic field from the tools.

Read the instructions before using it because some devices can also add the magnetic field to your tools.

There are many Demagnetisers on the market, from US$20 to US$1000 or above.

     
Hand Remover

Remove the hands from the dial.

Place a thin plastic sheet between the hands and the dial can prevent scratching the dial.

Hand Fitting Tool    
Put the hands back to the dial.
     
Blower

Clear off dust and other debris from watch dials and movement before assembling.
